Colour Stories Inspiration Case # 267

Happy

This is my husband at the finish of the TDU Bupa stage - having just completed over 150kms of cycling!! An awesome effort.

How I solved the case:

I was inspired by the colour scheme, particularly the white, turquoise and bright olive green - there are splashes of crimson and pink.

From the evidence file I have used: a grid patterned stamp, hearts and stars.

From the testimony I was inspired by the word Joy (happy).

Some close ups.

Thank you to Debbi and all the CSI team; thanks also to the amazing sponsors.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season.

Colour Stories Inspiration Case #268

Smile
This is a photo of Kenzie taken at her very first Christmas party way back in 1999. While it is a Christmas themed photo, I have scrapped it in a non-Christmas style.

How I solved the case:

I have used the basic colour scheme - but I have used a more pinky red to match Kenzie's dress.
The evidence: Christmas elements - word stickers; frames - stamped; circles - stamped; vintage element - lace heart; greenery - leaves.
Testimony: document about the holidays.

Thank you to Debbi and the CSI team and to all the wonderful sponsors.

Scrappingclearly October challenge

Hello Crafty Friends. It is so wonderful to play along with the Scrapping Clearly challenge once again - it has been a while!
I was inspired by the greens on the moodboard and also by the circles.

Go Richie
A photo from the Tour Down Under in January 2018.

The background was created with texture paste scraped on with a spatula. Then paint splatters were added in four shades of green - Distress Oxide forest moss & bundled sage; Dylusions acrylic mushy peas; Art Alchemy Sparks fairy wings - and Art Alchemy Metallique steampunk copper.

On top of this - a range of stamping in archival black ink. I then added some random strips of narrow washi tape.

I cut up a chipboard corner to poke out from under the photo. This was painted with Distress Oxided bundled sage.

I finished off with some metal cogs, O rings and enamel dots.

Thanks to Kylie and the Scrapping Clearly team for a great challenge.

Kraft Plus - Sketch and Fussy Cutting

Life is Good
Another photo of Smudge, this time resting in my craft space.

I liked the layout of the sketch and have used a lot of elements from it, but as always some things were tweaked. I liked the circles and tried to incorporate them....but in the end, they had to go.
My fussy cut items are the butterflies and the feathers.

Thank you to Sandra for creating another fantastic challenge and three cheers for the awesome sponsors.

Kraft Plus February Challenge.

I am very excited to be representing A2Z Scraplets for this months Kraft Plus challenge - ABBA thank you for the music - mamma mia. Pop over to the Kraft Plus blog and check out all the inspirational pages - then create a project and play along.

I was inspired by the ABBA song I do, I do, I do, I do, I do.
Perfect to finally scrap some photos from my wedding...we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year so about time!

A2Z Scraplets had the perfect chipboard piece (times 2). I have kept the chipboard raw to match with the earthy tones on the page.

To create the background I used crackle texture paste (gold) with a cobblestone stencil, spraying dark brown mist around the edges. I coloured some muslin with a gold mist and used this under the photo with some micro beads. I added some touches of red to accentuate the red lining of my dress. The red mesh heart was a 'Christmas gift tag'.
