Scrapping Clearly Scrapbooking and Papercrafts - March

Scrapping Clearly Sketch challenge

To fit extra photos onto this layout I decided 'stretch the sketch' into a double page layout.

Just a BLUR
It is not very often the world champion competes at the Santos Tour Down Under, so it was a real highlight this year to be able to watch Peter Sagan race. However, because the peloton was going so fast, the first several photos were blurred.

white cardstock
gold crackle texture paste
distress crayon and distress ink - vintage photo
Kaisercraft stamp - rocks
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - suede
2 Crafty chipboard - brick panel
chipboard coloured with - vintage photo, dk brown & rust ink, bronze gilders paste

Anna' Craft Cupboard - March mini challenge

St Patrick Day

Boys just want to have fun!
The perfect photo for the mini challenge.

I have created lots of texture in the background; cheesecloth, texture paste, micro beads and thread. I misted this all with 3 shades of green. To accentuate the green I have kept the embellishments fairly simple; some die cuts, jute string, metal cogs and a couple of brads.
This was a fun challenge, thank you to the team at Anna's Craft Cupboard.

Anna's Craft Cupboard - March challenge

Colour challenge - Hello Autumn

Adore You
Being silly at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2014

To highlight the autumn colours, I have created a 'brick wall' with a base colour of gold crackle texture paste with accents of rust, orange and green. The autumn colours continue in the floral embellishments.

A2Z Scraplets March Challenge

Colour Moodboard - Aqua & Teal

Yesterday Today Tomorrow
Another cycling photo taken by my husband. The view from Eagle Park in the Adelaide Hills.

To give the A2Z chipboard title a weathered like I have roughly inked it in dark brown, and then roughly applied some gilders paste in bronze.

Crafty Divas - March challenge

Dimension challenge
Always find time for the things in life that make you happy

Another awesome photo taken by my husband while out cycling.
I have wanted to scrap this photo for a while, but was not sure what type of layout to do...until now.

The background has various layers of texture pastes, the fabulous purple is Shimmerz Dazzlerz in grapetastic. Black jute cord and black cotton mesh add extra texture and dimension. The chipboard cogs I have smudged with black ink, before adding accents with Inka Gold in silver. I also used the silver Inka Gold on the chipboard chicken wire. Extra embellishments include silver paint splats, silver metal flowers and an assortment of washers from the shed.

White..with 1 March challenge

WW1 - Orange Peel

My creation for the March white with one challenge.

carbo loading

I have used a mix of gloss and matte texture paste for my background. It didn't quite work as I planned, next time I will use different stencils for each paste. I added some Dylusions mist in squeezed orange. Finishing off the layout with an assortment of white, orange and metal embellishments.

Scrapbookit - March challenge

All about the BOYS!!

Relax

I really enjoyed this challenge.
Lately my grungy themed layouts seem to be my favourites.
The 'metallic bits' - metallic texture paste, the owl/clock.
The 'raw products' - jute string, raw chipboard, wood veneer.
The 'rustic elements' - some random washers found in the shed.

Thanks to Jo, Mel and Jane for organising such a great challenge!

Kraft Plus - March challenge

Denim Revolution

The picture of Innocence
A photo of Smudge our adopted feral cat. Such a sweetie most of the time, then his feral comes out, as he sinks his claws into your leg as you walk past.

For this layout I have tweaked last months sketch. For the background - some grit paste with a brick stencil and an assortment of blue/brown mists.  I cut some thin strips of denim and chambray to use as a washi tape substitute. To add a bit more colour I have included some tan seam binding. To continue the grungy theme some denim flowers and an assortment of metal embellishments.
