D-Lish Scraps January challenge
The Ochre Jersey
The January moodboard was full of bright summery inspiration, however I struggled to find the right photo to scrap. Until I took this photo at the final stage of the Santos Tour Down Under in Adelaide (Jan 22nd).
The background texture was created by using several different stencils, matte texture paste and some tangerine dream ColourBlast paste. I added some splotches of Ken Oliver's liquid metals in metallic manderin, and some distress crayon in mustard seed. I wanted a busy, textured background because I wanted to keep the finishing embellishments fairly simple. I have included some bits and pieces from the JAP summer squeeze kit, how cute is the camera? I have also used some D-Lish Scraps glitter enamel dots.
I am very pleased with the finished page, masculine but not my usual bronze/turquoise grungy look. And that's why we love scrapbook challenges!
Such a cool layout. I love all your background details and how it kind of feels pastel but is a masculine layout. Awesome job,

Hi Louise, thank you for your lovely comments. I tend to use a lot of floral embellishments atm, but I wanted a bright summery, but masculine look. Carolyn
