Art & Soul Studio February Moodboard

Moodboard Challenge

Precious
A photo of my daughter Kenzie wearing the beautiful outfit made for her by her Great Aunty Arvan.

I have used a Lemoncraft paper "House of Roses 01" for my layout.

The background - a smear of texture paste with a palette knife, some Lindy's Stamp Gang mist in two shades of pink, stamping in Archeival Black using a mesh, flower and thread curls stamps.

Embellishments - an assortment of flowers, a flair, resin leaves and an embroidered butterfly.

The Bling - a rhinestone flourish, sequins, a sparkly heart, some pink microbeads and the title painted in Art Alchemy sparks paint.

A lovely layout for a lovely moodboard. Thank you Art and Soul Studio.

Colour Stories Inspiration Cold Case #271

How exciting, CSI are celebrating their 7th Birthday! Congratulations to Debbi and all the CSI team, an awesome effort. Thank you to all the amazing sponsor over the past 7 years.

Cold Case #271 - My investigation
What a great idea, I love it. I am sure we all have a secret stash that we need to use up!

What a catch

From The Scene I was inspired by the colour palate - the blues, white and grey, but opting to use a burnt orange rather that the red.

Product clues - I have used paper that is about 5 years old, with a texture paste background that I 'toyed with' last year but did not end up using. I have used 3 older stamps that I have had for a long long time but barely used (I think 2 of these will now go into my collection that I donate to a local primary school). Also from the 'why did I buy that selection' - some wire thread (wrapped around the chipboard circles) and some cork stickers that I love but find difficult to use.

Design clues - I have incorporated a wreath look with the chipboard circles.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your new year has started well. Happy Crafting!

Colour Stories Inspiration Case # 267

Happy

This is my husband at the finish of the TDU Bupa stage - having just completed over 150kms of cycling!! An awesome effort.

How I solved the case:

I was inspired by the colour scheme, particularly the white, turquoise and bright olive green - there are splashes of crimson and pink.

From the evidence file I have used: a grid patterned stamp, hearts and stars.

From the testimony I was inspired by the word Joy (happy).

Some close ups.

Thank you to Debbi and all the CSI team; thanks also to the amazing sponsors.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday season.

Colour Stories Inspiration Case #268

Smile
This is a photo of Kenzie taken at her very first Christmas party way back in 1999. While it is a Christmas themed photo, I have scrapped it in a non-Christmas style.

How I solved the case:

I have used the basic colour scheme - but I have used a more pinky red to match Kenzie's dress.
The evidence: Christmas elements - word stickers; frames - stamped; circles - stamped; vintage element - lace heart; greenery - leaves.
Testimony: document about the holidays.

Thank you to Debbi and the CSI team and to all the wonderful sponsors.

Colour Stories Inspiration Case #265

Knitted Teddy

How I solved the case:
I was inspired by the colour scheme and incorporated all five colours - carnation pink, pale pink, bright white, light grey and black.
From the evidence I have used stripes, checker pattern, flowers, text print (stamping), triangles (tiny ones on some washi tape), glitter (black heart Charms Creation).
From the testimony: I have framed some words in my journaling.

Some close ups:

Thank you to Debbi and the CSI team and to all the wonderful sponsors.
